GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CHAPTER I: GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.(1) The General terms and conditions of the school shall be adopted to ensure the effectiveness of the learning process. The purpose of these Regulations is to state clearly the expectations of the school regarding the learning process, discipline and relationships and to create in each member of the school community responsibility for themselves and others for the good reputation and success of the school. The General terms and conditions of Chatsworth British Summer School determine the structures and functions of the school management, the organization and management of the educational process, teachers’ and students’ rights and responsibilities. These rules may be updated during the study period.
(2) The general terms and conditions are an integral part of the Learning contract.
2.The following basic principles underlie the regulations for the organization of Chatsworth British Summer School:
- The activities of school can not contradict the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- The training should follow the principles enshrined in the British summer training system.

4.The school is private, according to PDO and RIPDO and managed by the owners, who appoint the school principal, teaching and support staff.

7.The school accepts students for training in three age groups if there are vacancies.
8.An enrollment agreement is signed between the owner and the students’ parents/ guardians, which governs their relationship during the chosen week period. The signing of the agreement means acceptance of the Terms and conditions.
9.The students who have completed the relevant level of learning English, receive a certificate and can continue their education at other English learning schools and courses.
10.The training in Chatsworth British Summer School is paid. The school building is rented.
11.The school is self-supporting, bears full costs.
12.The school gives the opportunity to the teachers to enhance their professional qualifications in a form of their choice. The funds for qualification are provided by the owner of the school, if necessary.
13.The school is not liable for an accident or injury to the child during his/her stay in the school premises and school activities. The school is not liable for loss, damage or injury to personal belongings.
CHAPTER II: ORGANISATION OF EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
Section I. Organizational forms
14.According to their age and the result of the placement test, the students are organized into successive classes.
- the duration of the training in one class is at least one week.
15.Depending on the enrollment, the grades are divided into classes.
- The classes of the same grade are designated with Roman numerals;
- depending on the number of children, classes can be divided into groups, merged groups may be organized from different classes or individual training can be arranged;
- merged groups are organized for extracurricular activities in arts and sports.
16.The distribution of students in classes takes place in the beginning of the school week.
- At the beginning of the school week the school principal shall specify teachers of each class ;
- The teacher organizes and conducts the lessons.
Section II. Term-time
(2). The classes can have the following duration : from 09:30 to 14:30
(3). The overall duration of the training weeks is from 05.07.2027 to 06.08.2027.
(4). The School hours of the subjects (SHS) for a school week are determined by the curriculum of the school;
- The weekly schedule of SHS is approved by the school principal no later than three days before the start of the school week
- a five-day school week;
- the school organizes an excursion weekly;
- The school may organize additional courses in English at the request of parents and surcharge.

20.(1) The contents are structured into subjects. Teaching subjects is performed by lessons and extracurricular activities
(2) The subject covers in a specific sequence a system of knowledge and skills.
21.(1) The contents are systemized in a curriculum.
(2) The curriculum defines:
- the name, number and distribution of the subjects in classes and hours;
- the study time for each subject;
- the Schedule of the training.
(3) The curriculum determines the structure and the volume of the learning content in each subject for each class, the goals and objectives of the training.
Section V. Discipline
The school creates all the conditions for obtaining new knowledge. It is a responsibility of every student admitted to Chatsworth, to make the necessary effort in achieving success and satisfaction with the knowledge acquired.
27.(1) Outsiders are not allowed to enter the classroom during the class hours and to call teachers outside.
(2) The teachers and the school principal can collect cash for material damages of MTB, for excursions, sporting events, etc.
CHAPTER III: PARTICIPANTS IN THE SCHOOL TRAINING
Section I. Teachers
(2) The selection of the candidates must be carried out after a competition based on documents and interviews of all applicants with the owners and the school principal.
- convicted of premeditated indictable offense ;
- deprived of their right to practice teaching profession;
- suffering from contraindicated disease;
- follow the instructions and orders of the owner and the principal;
- monitor students behavior during the LP, at mealtimes and transportation to school;
- he/she bears full responsibility for the life and health of the children from the time of their take over from the parents until their transfer to another teacher or parent;
- creates in the students an aesthetic taste, social behavior, sense of order, discipline, respect and compliance with the other people;
- maintains good relations with parents and colleagues;
- protects the name and reputation of the employer and the school;
- prevents deterioration of relations between students, parents and teachers, students and teachers;
- is consistent in implementing his/her requirements;
- is available at school, at least 10 minutes before the start of the first class according to the weekly schedule.
- conduct classes according to its own methodological approaches, following the curriculum and syllabus;
- use textbooks and learning aids after the approval of the principal and the owner;
- offend the human dignity and the human and civil rights of the students;
- to humiliate, insult and apply forms of physical and psychological violence against students.
Section II. Students
- be protected by the school against violation of his/her personal dignity and human rights;
- use the school facilities in training time to develop his/ her interests and abilities;
- be absent from school for valid reasons.
- perform his/ her educational duties;
- observe PCR (The rules on the internal order) norms and laws of the country;
- to safeguard the personal and school property;
- maintain personal and public hygiene;
- respect the students, the teachers, the support staff and the principal;
- carry and use mobile phones;
- carry large sums of money in school;
- use vulgar language;
- play games of chance;
- use drugs and alcohol and smoke;
- be absent from school without permission;
- violate discipline;
- leave the the school premises without permission.
Section III: Parents
- receive information on the results of the education and upbringing of children;
- conclude a contract with the school;
- maintain contact with the teachers and class teachers;
- maintain contact with the owners and the management of the school.
- maintain contacts with the teachers and class teachers;
- ensure the regular attendance at school by the children;
- notify any change in address, phone, etc.;
- pay on time tuition of their children;
- pay for damages to the school and students;
- comply with the working time of the school;
- notify promptly the absence of students.
Chapter IV: MANAGEMENT AND RESOURCE PROVISION
Section I. Administrative Authorities of the School
- representing the school before authorities, organizations and individuals;
- performing internal control in accordance with his powers;
- organizing the acceptance of the children and students, training and education;
- signing documents for a completed level and keep the seal of the school;
- assisting the competent authorities to identify infringements;
- controlling and be responsible for the proper keeping of school records;
- providing safe conditions for education, training and labor.
Section II. Financing
CHAPTER V: ADMISSIONS, ENROLLMENT AND FEES
Section I. Admissions and enrollment
44.The admission of students follows the terms and conditions defined by the principle and the owner.
Section II. Fees
The tuition fee includes:
- day training (from 9:30 to 14:30);
- all materials;
- T-shirt with the school logo;
- lunch.
The tuition fee does not include:
- textbooks;
- 1 trip per week;
- sports equipment for training and sporting events;
- swimming equipment (cap, slippers and bathrobe);
- school transport;
- first aid, medical care and medical insurance.
Consequences in case of delayed payments of the fee:
52. If the rest of the fee after the deposit of 150 euro or the full fee is not paid within the term from paragraph 4, THE PARENT shall pay to THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION a penalty of 50% of the amount due.
Conditions for reimbursement of tuition fee:
53. (1) The tuition fee or portion thereof is not subject to recovery under:
- absence of a teacher, student or force majeure;
- illness, when the child is absent for less than fifteen (15) working days of the learning process;
- student absences due to family reasons.
(2) The tuition fee or part of it shall be recovered on leaving THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION for valid reasons, impeding the appearance of the child in school, which are judged by THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION . As a valid reasons are considered: prolonged illness of the student. The fee shall be recovered in proportion to the time spent in THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION and relevant part of it is due for each initiated week period.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
54. The school is exempt from liability for partial or complete failure to fulfill its obligations, when the failure arises from force majeure (natural disasters, fires, floods, strikes) beyond its reasonable control.
55. Changes, additions and amendments to the Rules can be made only by decisions of the Director of the school.
56. To any unregulated issues in the Rules the provisions of Bulgarian legislation shall apply .
57. The Rules are valid for the period 05.07.2027 - 06.08.2027 and their implementation is entrusted to the school principal, to the teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and students from Chatsworth British Summer School.
The Rules have been adopted and approved by the director of "Chatsworth" British Summer School on 05.07.2027.
