4-6 Years Old - BLUE Group

Children, aged between 4 and 6 years old - BLUE Group, love Summer School.   

Our friendly and professional staff place an emphasis on fun and provide a varied and active programme for daily course. With face painting, music, art, gym/sport and swimming, there is never a dull moment and learning comes naturally in the relaxed, safe and cheerful environment.

The course includes 4 lessons of English per day. The class sizes are kept to a minimum to ensure quality teaching time for each student. The main areas of development are speaking and listening, and the aim is to increase the confidence of all students in their ability to communicate in English.

Pupils also participate in a number of activities during the day. These activities are all taught in English by specialist teachers who are assisted by monitors. The emphasis is always on fun during sporting activities, however, the students also receive the best possible instruction from their teachers. Sporting activities are varied and include playing with specific equipment for that age, gymnastics and other funny games.

Art is very creative and enjoyed by all children. Fabulous artwork made by the students is proudly displayed in the reception area throughout the duration of Summer School. An array of materials is transformed into amazing masterpieces!

Every Thursday of the second and fourth week if the education program the 4-6 Year group leaves the School to participate in an outside activity. These activities are fun and loved by all of thе children. 

Course - Social Skills

People say that the first seven years are essential for the further development of our children. Surprise, surprise …they are not wrong.

If you want to raise a successful person, the course ‘"Social skills’’ is the right place for your kid. In order to prepare them for school life, we have developed a diverse program, which will give our little students the opportunity to create new friendships and improve their social skills.

The course starts with the class - Get to know each other. What is better than some ice-breaking games?

Our youngest students tend to understand the information given better, if it is in form of entertainment. And we all adore games! Musical chairs, Name Game, Color Hunt … and many more activities, which aim is to create a comfort zone for our beloved pupils. The following weeks will be filled with more games, which tend to show that school is not only an educational place, but a spot, where new friendships are created.

7-9 Years Old - GREEN Group

Students in the 7-9 Year age GREEN Group participate in a number of set activities throughout the Summer School day. For those concentrating on learning or improving English, the course includes 4 language lessons per day combined with fun and educational activities such as Drama, Art and Sport. All activities are taught in English.

At the start of the course all students are assessed to ascertain their level of English and they are placed in classes based on their age and ability. During language classes they participate in role plays and complete activities which ensure a total immersion in the language. The key areas of development are speaking, listening, reading and writing. Particular emphasis is placed on giving them confidence to communicate comfortably. The class sizes are kept to a minimum and our Summer School pupils receive quality instruction on a much personalized basis.  

Drama, Sport and Art are taught by specialized teachers. Drama is an excellent way for the students to interact with their friends and to gain confidence when communicating with others. Art at Summer School is always very creative and incorporates the use of different materials and techniques. The artwork makes a colorful display in the reception area of the School. We offer a number of sporting activities including football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, rounder and cricket, just to name a few. There are competitions held  once a fortnight and students have the opportunity to represent their team in volleyball, football or rounder.

Every Thursday of the second and fourth week if the education program students leave the School to participate in one of the trips  to local cultural organizations.

Course - Social Skills 

For some of the children in this age group this is the first time in their life when they are facing a long-lasting experience, called ‘’school’’. This is a fully new path, that the kids are taking and for the very first time they need to face some obstacles without you-the parents. This might be considered as a challenge and we are aiming to give the best advices to your pupils.

Sime of the children are already been through the first, second and even third year of its school life. Not a small kid anymore, but still far from the teenage years. This is the time, when our children are getting to know the world that is surrounding them. The diversity of people, the overwhelming emotions, that the new acquaintances are bringing. All of this might be hard to be maintained.

That is why we created the "Social skills’’ course, here in Chatsworth English Summer School.

Throughout diverse activities we are going to learn how to create friendships, how to share our belongings, how to "survive"  when we are having problems. Not only this, but we are going to have fun as well, because it is summer after all! Actually, from our experience, we can tell that our students tend to perform better, if the new lesson is in form of a game.

In the end of our course we can guarantee, that you will see the change in the behavior of your kid. School life shouldn’t be filled with negativity. That is what we want to show not only your children, but you as well!

The children of this age group make friends easily and enjoy coming to Summer School each year to reunite with old acquaintances from different countries.

10-14 Years Old - RED Group

Students in the 10-14 Year age RED Group participate in a number of set activities throughout the Summer School day. For those concentrating on learning or improving English, the course includes 4 language lessons per day combined with fun and educational activities such as Drama, Art and Sport. All activities are taught in English.

At the start of the course all students are assessed to ascertain their level of English and they are placed in classes based on their age and ability. During language classes they participate in role plays and complete activities which ensure a total immersion in the language. The key areas of development are speaking, listening, reading, grammar and writing. Particular emphasis is placed on giving them confidence to communicate comfortably. English lessons also include the study of different media and the students will conduct interviews with other students and members of staff, and make brochures, posters and magazines. The class sizes are kept to a minimum and our Summer School pupils receive quality instruction on a much personalized basis. Drama, Sport and Art are taught by native English teachers.

Drama is an excellent way for the students to interact with their friends and to gain confidence when communicating with others. All students have the opportunity and are encouraged to participate in the drama production at the end of the second, fourth and sixth week. During the course we run sporting competitions in football, volleyball and basketball galas where students can earn points for their team.

Every Thursday of the second and fourth week if the education program, students leave the School to participate in one of the outside activities as a trip or other adventure activities with local organizations.
